Childress Vineyards takes pride in releasing the fifteenth collector's edition blend at the 36th Annual Barbecue Festival in Lexington, NC. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Barbeque Festival in memory of the festival's founder, Kay Saintsing. Pairing perfectly with Lexington-style pork barbecue, this year’s blend features rich, bright flavors of cherry and ripe strawberry. Soft and smooth tannins provide an enticing pallet for the smoky, Lexington barbecue flavors.
As part of the Fine Swine Wine tradition, world-renowned artist and Lexington, NC resident, Bob Timberlake, designed a custom pig specifically for this label. Timberlake’s inspiration for “Chef Pig” came from his reflection on the hertitage of Lexington barbeque and the families who have made it their life's story for generations.
